Assisted Living facilities are set up to provide the senior resident with a comfortable apartment where they can live independently. They usually have access to services that help with personal care, meals, medication management, trans-portation, housekeeping, and their personal safety.
Most residents can come and go as they please, and family & friends are encouraged to visit just like they would if the resident were still living at home. Residents are encouraged to stay active and to join in with social activities that may take place within the facility or outside the premises. (Transportation is usually provided.)
